Paon Eatery is located in the heart of Bay Harbour Island. Its ambiance brings a calm relaxing energy with it’s worn brown leather booths and it’s dark walls and accessories. This quiet little restaurant is unassuming and brings some of the best internationally inspired cuisines in a casual low key setting.
Led by Chef Federico A. Cassino and Designer Sofia Rodriguez Kandeler, Paon is a casual restaurant that provides a gathering space and thoughtful service that goes above and beyond what most restaurants are capable of providing. We felt very welcomed; almost like we were part of the family.
Paon’s menu is easy to navigate, and has a wonderful selection of gluten free and vegetarian possibilities. The menu highlights traditional Latin American and Mediterranean dishes, and they also boast a beer and wine bar with a variety of tapas to help you get started.
When planning your visit, we definitely recommend starting off with their delicious and refreshing house-made ginger-mint Paon Lemonade… the perfect start to any lunch. Their tapas are beyond what you would find at any typical Spanish themed restaurant. The Triple Cooked Potato Fries are a must, and the Eggplant Puree salad is a delicious experience. Now, the pièce de résistance had to be their incredible Red Snapper with Grilled Lettuce: an amazing combination of texture and flavor, flaunting a very fresh fillet of the red snapper. To finish off your visit, we highly recommend their amazing Humid Chocolate “Cake”, probably the best gluten free dessert we’ve had the pleasure of trying, but don’t just take our word for it, order it for yourself and please, please, please let us know what you think!
Paon Eatery understands the value and respect of quality products and therefore only works with suppliers that provide the best seasonal and raw meats and ingredients. By doing so, they’re able to highlight the unique and natural flavors in every dish they serve. If you need a reason to go to Bay Harbour Islands, Paon Eatery is definitely it.
